The Regina Police Service (RPS) has arrested and charged two women following a robbery in the city’s Heritage neighbourhood. Around 11 a.m. on April 30, officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of St. John Street, according to a news release from RPS. Reports indicated that someone has been bear sprayed and had their cellphone stolen. Officers arrived on scene and found two women who matched the suspect descriptions. They were both arrested without incident, according to RPS. A search revealed a canister of bear spray and the stolen belongings. A 22-year-old Regina woman faces four charges. They include robbery, carrying a concealed weapon, possessing a weapon, and failure to comply with a probation order. A 21-year-old woman also faces one count of robbery. The accused made their first appearances in provincial court on May 1.
