The Regina Police Service (RPS) has laid murder charges in connection to a death investigation that began over the weekend when a woman’s body was discovered. Following an investigation, RPS has charged 39-year-old Lyle Turcotte with second degree murder and 39-year-old Brandi Schile with accessory after the fact to murder. Both of the accused made their first appearances in provincial court Monday morning. Just before 4 p.m. on Friday, July 25, officers were called to the 1500 block of Cameron Street after an injured woman was reported. Officers and paramedics responded to the scene – where the victim was pronounced dead shortly after. She has been identified as 42-year-old Stephanie Coady. The investigation into the killing involved the RPS major crimes and forensic identification units in addition to the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, according to police. The death marks Regina’s eighth homicide of 2025.
