A child has died after he was hit by a vehicle while riding his bike in Ogema, Sask. on Thursday. Coronach RCMP first received a report of a serious collision at the intersection of Bradley Street and Saskatchewan Avenue around 5:30 p.m., according to a news release from Saskatchewan RCMP. Local fire and EMS crews also responded to the scene, with investigation determining the a vehicle and a child on a bicycle collided. EMS declared the child, a boy under the age of 10, dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene while investigation took place. RCMP say the child’s family has been notified. A collision reconstructionist and Coronach RCMP continue to investigate the collision’s cause. Ogema, Sask. is located about 116 kilometres south of Regina.
