One man is facing several charges, including driving while impaired, following investigation into a stolen vehicle in Regina. According to Regina Police Service (RPS), officers responded to a report about the vehicle on Wednesday around 1 p.m. and attended the 3600 block of East Haughton Road. A vehicle matching the description was found travelling northbound on Woodland Grove. Police say they attempted a traffic stop but the suspect continued driving. The vehicle was then seen travelling eastbound on Arcola Avenue a short time later, where it pulled over, police said. RPS claims the driver left the vehicle and attempted to run away, but officers were able to take him into custody around 1:30 p.m. A 28-year-old man has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, impaired operation of a conveyance by alcohol, exceeding 80mg of alcohol within two hours of operating a vehicle, theft of a motor vehicle, flight from a peace officer, and failure to comply with a probation order. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance on April 29.
