CP24 confirms that the activity at the CN Tower is connected to Drake and his new album “Iceman.” Mysterious projections were seen on the CN Tower on Wednesday night and by Thursday morning scaffolding had been set up outside the building, prompting some fans to take to social media and speculate that it could be part of another promotional event. The activity came hours before the midnight release of Drake’s ninth studio album. Drake has been teasing “Iceman Episode 4″ on his YouTube channel. “Following Drake’s experimental episodic Iceman journey, The Iceman Chronicles reaches its theatrical climax with the release of his highly anticipated album in Episode 4 — back home in Toronto,” a description of the event reads. “The visual album, unfolds as a theatrical interpretation of Drake’s thoughts and experiences over the past two years.” You can watch the live event here starting at 9:45 p.m. The City of Toronto previously announced plans for a 10-minute fireworks show from Harbourfront Centre at 10:45 p.m. that is part of a “private video shoot.” It remains unclear whether that event is also connected to Drake. Drake has been behind a number of promotional events around Toronto ahead of the album release, including a giant ice sculpture that was placed in a downtown Toronto parking lot last month. The ice sculpture was mobbed by fans and was eventually melted with the assistance of firefighters after one of them found a package inside that contained the date of the release.
